Installing Sealing Ring For Parking Lock Shaft

Information 

• During installation, make sure that the selector lever is in position "P" on the selector support and at the rear end position on the transmission  .
• The parking lock must be fully engaged  .

Information 

• Clean the work area around the repair point on the transmission carefully and thoroughly in order to avoid suspected leaks  .

1. Install sealing ring -1-  for parking lock shaft -2-  .
   1. 1.1. Grease sealing ring with a light coating of Kluber Syntheso Glep.
   2. 1.2. Fit sealing ring on the parking lock shaft.
   3. 1.3. Drive in sealing ring as far as the mounting face using Pressure Piece 9834  .

2. Fit parking lock lever.
   1. 2.1. Fit the parking lock lever and press it onto the parking lock shaft.
   2. 2.2. Screw on and tighten fastening nut. Tightening Torque 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lbs.)
