Subsequent Work

- Install engine cover.

- Install rear wall cover.

- Install center console.

- Move selector lever from position "P" to "D" and then from position "D" to "M" and back again several times.
- Check that the parking lock is disengaged.
- 5.1. Insert ignition key into the ignition lock.
- 5.2. Move selector lever to position "P". "P" appears in the instrument cluster.
- 5.3. Actuate the operating brake.
- 5.4. Start the engine.
- 5.5. Move selector lever to position "D". "D" appears in the instrument cluster.
- 5.6. Release the operating brake. If the vehicle moves forward, the test is complete. Otherwise, all connecting pieces must be checked again.
- Check that the parking lock is engaged (engine running).
- 6.1. Insert ignition key into the ignition lock.
- 6.2. Move selector lever to position "P". "P" appears in the instrument cluster.
- 6.3. Actuate the operating brake.
- 6.4. Start the engine.
- 6.5. Release the operating brake. The vehicle must not move. Otherwise, the entire system must be checked.
- 6.6. Switch off engine.
- Check that the parking lock is engaged (blocking effect).
- 7.1. Insert ignition key into the ignition lock.
- 7.2. Move selector lever to position "P". "P" appears in the instrument cluster.
- 7.3. Move selector lever to position "N". "N" appears in the instrument cluster.
- 7.4. Get another person to help you to push the vehicle for a distance of at least one meter. It must be possible to move the vehicle. Otherwise, the entire system must be checked.
- 7.5. Actuate the operating brake.
- 7.6. Move selector lever to position "P". "P" appears in the instrument cluster.
- 7.7. Get another person to help you to push the vehicle. The vehicle must not move (a max. movement of 150 mm is acceptable). Otherwise, the entire system must be checked.
