Installing Parking Lock Cable

Information 

• During installation, make sure that the selector lever is in position "P" on the selector support and at the rear end position on the transmission  .
• The parking lock must be fully engaged  .

1. Route parking lock cable -1-  .
   1. 1.1. Guide parking lock cable from the cabin through the engine compartment to the transmission.

      Check that the cables are routed correctly and without tension so that no chafing occurs  .

   2. 1.2. Secure parking lock cable to the body.

2. Fit the locking cable to the transmission.
   1. 2.1. Check that the gear selector on the selector support is in position "P" and is locked.
   2. 2.2. Check that the transmission parking lock is fully engaged.
   3. 2.3. Attach parking lock cable to the support and engage securely.
   4. 2.4. Press the end piece of the parking lock cable onto the parking lock lever.
3. Secure the parking lock cable -2-  to the center tunnel.
   1. 3.1. Clip parking lock cable to the support and secure locking mechanism -1-  .
