Installing Fuel Line - Fuel Pump To Wheel Housing Connection

Install fuel line.
1. 1.1. Coat rubber sleeve -arrow A- with a suitable sliding compound.
2. 1.2. Slide fuel line from below along the cardan tunnel -arrows B- and guide it through and out at the wheel housing -arrows C- . Twist the fuel line slightly when installing it if necessary.
3. 1.3. Press rubber sleeve -arrow A- into the wheel housing -arrow C- until it engages securely in the body.

Connect and secure fuel line.
1. 2.1. Push fuel line in the wheel housing with the fuel hose onto the connection -arrow- and secure with a new hose clamp -1- .
2. 2.2. Connect fuel line with the fuel hose onto the fuel pump -arrow- and secure with a new hose clamp -1- .

Press fuel line into line bracket.
1. 3.1. Press fuel line into line bracket -arrows A- .
2. 3.2. Close line bracket -arrows B- until the locking lugs -arrows C- engage securely.

Install trim panel.
1. 4.1. Insert trim panel and screw down with the fastening screw -arrow 1- . → Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)
2. 4.2. Tighten fastening nuts -arrows 2- . → Tightening torque: 4.5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)

Slide fuel pump together with the rubber sleeve onto the holder -arrow- .

Plug in connector on the fuel pump -arrow- until the connector engages securely.
