Removing Fuel Line - Fuel Pump To Tank

Lift front edge of right rear seat -arrow A- , pull out to the front -arrow B- , and fold forward -arrow C- .

Remove tank cut-out cover.
1. 2.1. Cut out the carpeted floor along the perforation and fold forward -arrow A- .
2. 2.2. Unscrew fastening screws -arrows 5- and remove the bracket together with the seat-belt buckle -arrow B- .
3. 2.3. Unscrew fastening nuts -arrows 6- and remove the tank cut-out cover -arrow C- .

Before disconnecting the fuel line, it is essential to observe the safety instructions in → WM 1001AW The most important working regulations and warning notes
Undo fuel line on tank.
1. 3.1. Release plug-in coupling -arrow A- and pull the fuel line off the connection -arrow B- .
2. 3.2. Remove fuel line from the bracket -arrow C- .

Raise the vehicle. → WM 4000V0 Lifting the vehicle
Remove cover plate.
1. 5.1. Unscrew fastening nut -1- .
2. 5.2. Unscrew fastening screws -2- and remove cover plate -arrow- .

Release connector -arrows A- and pull it off the fuel pump -arrow B- .

Pull fuel pump together with the rubber sleeve off the holder -arrow- .

Release hose clamp -1- and pull the fuel line off the fuel pump -arrow- .

Remove fuel line.
1. 9.1. Unclip fuel line out of the rear line bracket -arrow A- and pull away downwards along the tank -arrow B- .
2. 9.2. Open the front line bracket -arrow C- and remove the line downwards -arrow D- .
3. 9.3. Pull out fuel line to the rear -arrow E- .
