Teaching Remote Control

Information

The remote control for the auxiliary heater can only be taught using the Porsche System Tester.
A maximum of 3 remote controls can be taught per vehicle.
Switching from Heating to Fan can only be set on the control module. The pre-set mode is started by actuating the remote control.

PIWIS Tester 9718 must be connected to the vehicle, then start the System Tester. Switch on ignition. Press [>>] to continue.
Select the vehicle type.
Select the auxiliary heating control unit and press [>>].
Select Teach remote control menu, press [>>] and follow the instructions on the System Tester.
After the SEND message appears, press the [OFF] button -3- on the remote control within 5 seconds until the "saved" message appears. The remote control is now taught.
To teach other remote controls, repeat the process.
Carry out a function test on the remote control and then read out the fault memory.
PIWIS Tester 9718 must now be disconnected from the vehicle.
