Removing Lock Cylinder

- Remove glove compartment. → Remove The Glove Compartment
- Remove glove compartment lock. → Removing Lock, Release And Lock Cylinder For Glove Compartment
- Remove actuating cable from lock. → Removing Lock, Release And Lock Cylinder For Glove Compartment
- Remove cover.
- 4.1. Unclip cover -1-
from lock mount -2-
using a small screwdriver -3-
and lift off (-arrow A-
).
NOTE: Lock cylinder removed and installed incorrectly
- Risk of damage to lock cylinder
→ Do not take the ignition key out of the lock cylinder during removal and installation. Otherwise, the spring-loaded locking elements will spring out of the lock cylinder.

- 4.1. Unclip cover -1-
from lock mount -2-
using a small screwdriver -3-
and lift off (-arrow A-
).
- Remove lock barrel.
- 5.1. Insert ignition key -4- fully into the lock cylinder -5- -arrow B- . This locks the locking elements -8- in the lock cylinder.
- 5.2. Turn ignition key -4- anticlockwise as far as possible -arrow C- and hold the pretension. This keeps the ignition key tensioned in the lock cylinder so that it cannot be withdrawn.
- 5.3. Force retaining clips -6- of lock cylinder -5- outwards with a small screwdriver (-arrows D- ).
- 5.4. Withdraw lock cylinder -5- together with ignition key -4- from the lock -arrow E- and remove.
