Removing Rear Skirt

  1. Remove heat protection panel.

    1. 1.1. Undo fastening screws -1-  .
    2. 1.2. Release retaining clip -2-  (-arrow A-  ) and remove heat protection panel -3-  in -direction of arrow B-  .
  2. Remove covering frame.

    1. 2.1. Undo fastening screws -1-  .
    2. 2.2. Pull covering frame -2-  out slightly -arrow A-  and disengage it -arrow B-  .
  3. Remove rear skirt (lower part).

    1. 3.1. Pull off retaining clip -1-  (-arrow-  ).
    2. 3.2. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  on the rear skirt (lower part) -3-  .
    3. 3.3. Release retaining pivots all the way around using a screwdriver -arrow A-  and remove rear skirt (lower part) -1-  (-arrow B-  ).

  4. Remove rear skirt (upper part).

    1. 4.1. Pull off fastening clamps -1-  using a screwdriver -arrow A-  .
    2. 4.2. Release retaining pivots all the way around using a screwdriver -arrow B-  and remove rear skirt (upper part) -2-  (-arrow C-  ).

      Information 

      The cover on the towing lug is only removed if it is damaged or for painting.

  5. Remove cover for towing lug.

    1. 5.1. Unclip cover on towing lug -1-  with a screwdriver -arrow A-  .
    2. 5.2. Release cover on towing lug -arrows B-  and remove it -arrow C-  .

      Information 

      The cover on the exhaust system is only removed if it is damaged or for painting.

  6. Remove cover on exhaust system.

    1. 6.1. Release retaining pivots carefully using a screwdriver -arrows A-  and remove cover on exhaust system -1-  (-arrow B-  ).
