Gap dimensions of tailpipe
NOTE:
Tailpipe not fitted correctly
- Components can heat up
→ Observe exact gap dimensions.
→ After the test drive, check the gap dimensions again and re-adjust if necessary.

- V8 S/V6 tailpipe
→ Gap dimension X: 18 mm
→ Gap dimension Y: 20 mm
- V8 Sport/V8 Turbo tailpipe
→ Gap dimension X: 18 mm
→ Gap dimension Y: 20 mm
- V8 Exclusive tailpipe
→ Gap dimension X: 7 mm
→ Gap dimension Y: 7 mm
- Adjust gap dimensions.
- 1.1. Close the lid.
- 1.2. Check gap dimensions at the lid. → 5000IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS
- 1.3. Remove rear apron if necessary, loosen fastening nuts -1- and -3- , and adjust gap dimensions by moving the rear retaining strip -2- and the retaining bracket -4- . → Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)+/-1 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.)
- Check gap dimensions of tailpipe with respect to rear apron and adjust tailpipe if necessary. → Subsequent Work

- Install spare wheel mount.
