Installing rear bumper

  1. Fit rivet nuts

    only when replacing the bumper on vehicles with external spare wheel 

    1. 1.1. Insert rivet nuts in the bores and rivet with hand-held blind rivet nut device Nr.125. 
  2. Installing rear bumper
    1. 2.1. Replace seal -3-  (or -3-  ).
    2. 2.2. Position rear bumper -1-  .
    3. 2.3. Screw in fastening screws -2-  (or -2-  ) → Tightening torque: 150 Nm+30 Nm.

  3. Preparing the foam part for installation
    1. 3.1. Place a butyl sealing cord -4-  on the underside of the foam part -5-  in the areas indicated.

  4. Installing foam part
    1. 4.1. Place foam part -4-  on the rear bumper -1-  in line with the profile and press down firmly.
