Removing Motor For Seat Adjustment

The motor for seat adjustment is not available individually as a spare part. The motor is only supplied together with the seat adjustment frame and must be replaced together with the frame.

To prevent the complete weight of the seat from lying on the pivot axes for front vertical adjustment, always observe the following points:
- Place a suitable protective cover on the workbench.
- Get another person to help you remove the seat from the mounting frame and place the back of the backrest on the workbench.

- Loosen holder for seat memory control unit -1- at the fastening screws -2- and lift slightly -arrows- .
- Release wire harness for seat.
- 2.1. Release wire harness -1- by opening the tie-wrap -2- on the retaining frame -3- .
- 2.2. Unclip wire harness -1-
at the retaining frame -2-

- Disconnect the connector axially from the motor. Otherwise the retaining lugs can break off and this can prevent the connector from locking securely.
- 2.3. Pull off connector -1- on motor for seat adjustment -2- (-arrow- ).
- Loosen inner pivot axis.
- 3.1. Unscrew fastening screw -1- from the seat adjustment frame -2- (-arrow- ).
- Loosen outer pivot axis.
- 4.1. Unscrew fastening screw -1- from the seat adjustment frame -2- (-arrow- ).
- Remove seat adjustment frame from the seat frame -arrows- .
