Installing Cylinder Head Cover

  1. Before fitting the cylinder head cover, apply sealant 000 043 207 54 (status 02/09) as shown .

  2. Install cylinder head cover (valve cover)

    Information 

    • The seals on the ignition coil slots have a twist lock. These must be inserted into the corresponding cut-out on the cylinder head cover. 
    1. 2.1. Replace cylinder head cover gasket and shank seals.
    2. 2.2. Tighten fastening screws -3-  hand-tight.

      Information 

      • The cylinder head cover must be tightened evenly in a clockwise direction! 
      • The sealing rings of the M6 fastening screws with distance sleeve must be checked for damage and replaced if necessary! 
    3. 2.3. Tighten fastening screws as shown. → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft lbs.)

    4. 2.4. Screw on oil cap.
