Installing Oil/Coolant Heat Exchanger (Oil Cooler)

Replace the two sealing rings.

1. Oil guide housing
2. Oil-filter housing → Tightening torque: 25 Nm (19 ft lbs.)
3. Oil filter
4. Oil-filter sealing ring
5. Oil duct adapter (cannot be replaced)
6. Heat exchanger seal
7. Oil/coolant heat exchanger
8. Screw, M6 x 20; self-tapping screws ex-works; metric screws can also be used → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft lbs.)
1. Direction of travel
1. 1.1. Then move the oil/coolant heat exchanger into installation position and fit the fastening screws (turn screws by hand initially). The old self-tapping screws can be re-used. Tighten screws evenly and diagonally.
Clip the coolant hose assembly into to the oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler).
Fit the coolant hoses on the oil/coolant heat exchanger and remove the hose clamps.

On vehicles with PDCC, secure the hoses on the oil guide housing. → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft lbs.)
