Installing Oil Dipstick Guide Tube

Information 

  1. Replace sealing ring, apply a little grease to the ring and push it as far as it will go onto the guide tube -arrow-  . Remove the oil dipstick from the guide tube for the assembly work.

  2. Fit cable plug of crankshaft pulse sender -arrow-  to the guide tube.

    Information 

    • Illuminate the installation position well for fitting the guide. 
  3. Insert guide tube into the bore in the cylinder block. Align guide tube and fit fastening screw at the intake-air distributor. Tighten fastening screw. Coolant hoses → Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ft lbs.)

  4. Move the two coolant hoses into installation position. Insert oil dipstick.
