Removing Oil Pressure Switch

Information
- Oil pressure may be too low for a number of reasons:
- Oil is diluted.
- Oil pump is faulty.
- Bearing clearance is too large (e.g. crankshaft bearing)
- Oil level is too low.
- Oil pressure regulating valve is faulty.
- Incorrect oil has been used. Only use oil that has been approved by Porsche for the measurement.
Information
- The oil-pressure sender is located on the oil-filter console to the left under the generator.
- Pull electric connector off the oil pressure switch by pressing the button.
Information
- When the oil-pressure sender is unscrewed, approx. 0.3 litres of engine oil will escape.
Collect emerging oil and dispose of it in accordance with the applicable national laws.
- Loosen the oil pressure switch and unscrew it. Collect emerging oil and dispose of it in accordance with the applicable national laws.
