Installing Exhaust Manifold

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Porsche Cayenne, 2009 Porsche Cayenne, and 2008 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Information

  1. Clean sealing surfaces. The surfaces must be free from foreign objects.
  2. Fit lambda sensor when replacing the exhaust manifold (grease the thread of the lambda sensor with a light coating of grease 000.043.207.07, status 06/07).
  3. Use a new seal. The seal must be positioned so that the part number is visible from the outside.

Slide the exhaust manifold over the studs and fit it using new fastening nuts. Tighten the fastening nuts to the prescribed tightening torque. Observe tightening sequence.
