Removing Vacuum Pump

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Porsche Cayenne, 2009 Porsche Cayenne, and 2008 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Prepare to remove the vacuum pump.
    1. 1.1. Release the electric wire harness.

      Remove wire harness -1-  with rubber seal on right-hand engine compartment side panel -3-  . To do so, open the holder and move wire harness to the side -1-  .

    2. 1.2. Unclip all hoses, vacuum lines and electrical lines -2-  from the hose assembly holder on the right-hand engine compartment side panel.
    3. 1.3. Remove the right-hand engine compartment side panel -3-  . To do this, unscrew the tapping screws and remove the right-hand engine compartment side panel -3-  .
    4. 1.4. Disconnect coolant hose.

      Undo coolant hose -2-  from right cylinder head cover -1-  . To do this, open the retaining clip -3-  and move to the side.

  2. Remove vacuum pump.
    1. 2.1. Release and pull off vacuum hose -2-  .

    2. 2.2. Detach and remove the vacuum pump -1-  .

      Remove the vacuum pump -1-  by unscrewing the screws -2-  .
