Installing Vacuum Pump

Replace sealing rings -2, 3- on vacuum pump -1- .
Carefully loosen and lever off the sealing rings -2, 3- with a small screwdriver.

Clean contact surface of sealing rings -2, 3- and fit new sealing rings -2, 3- .

Install vacuum pump.
1. 2.1. Clean mounting point before installation.
2. 2.2. Fit and secure the vacuum pump -1- .
  Align driver for vacuum pump -1- and fit the vacuum pump -1- . Screw in and tighten screws -2- .
  
  → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

3. 2.3. Connect vacuum hose -2- .
  Push on vacuum hose -2- until the vacuum hose -2- locks with an audible click.

Fit the electrical wire harness and right-hand engine compartment side panel.
1. 3.1. Secure coolant hose.
  Connect coolant hose -2- to right cylinder head cover -1- . To do this, close the retaining clip -3- .

2. 3.2. Install right-hand engine compartment side panel -3- .
  Fit the right-hand engine compartment side panel -3- and ensure that the rubber seal is seated correctly.

3. 3.3. Clip all hoses, vacuum lines and electrical lines -2- to the hose assembly holder on the right-hand engine compartment side panel.
4. 3.4. Secure the electric wire harness.
  Fit the wire harness -1- with rubber seal to the right-hand engine compartment side panel and close the holder.
