Removing Servo Motor

Information

The air conditioning servo motor -B- - outer unit aimed at persons on left - is located on the left air conditioning unit.
The air conditioning servo motor -C- - centre unit aimed at persons on left - is located on the left air conditioning unit.
The individual servo motors -B and C- are not installed on both sides of the air conditioning unit in vehicles with a manual air conditioner. These are replaced by just one air conditioner servo motor, which is installed on the left side of the air conditioning unit at the servo motor position -B- .
Switch ignition off and remove ignition key before starting work.

Servo motor for defrost distributor flap
Servo motor for distributor flap for side vents
Servo motor for distributor flap for central vents
Servo motor for distributor flap for footwell outlet vent
Servo motor for temperature mixing flap (left side)

Unscrew the fastening screws -Arrows 1- on the retainer plate with the motors -D and E- .

Press the electric connectors -Arrows 2- (-Arrows a- ) and pull off the connectors.
Pull retainer plate with the motors -D and E- downwards out of the guide.
Unclip wire harness on the left heat exchanger cover.

Unscrew the two fastening screws on the left heat exchanger cover and unclip the cover.
Unscrew the two fastening screws -Arrows 1- on the top retainer plate with the servo motors -A, B and C- .

Press in the connector -2- (-a- ) and pull plug connection apart.
Pull retainer plate out in a downward direction. Loosen the guide screws -3- on the retainer plate if necessary.
Unscrew fastening screws -Arrows A- and remove servo motor.
