WM 247019 Removing And Installing DME (DFI) Control Unit: Information: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Porsche Cayenne, 2009 Porsche Cayenne, and 2008 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Information
- If the DME control unit is replaced, it must be programmed using PIWIS Tester II 9818. This adapts the DME control unit to the vehicle, the country version and the equipment. The DME control unit is located in the plenum panel near the right wing.
- Before the DME control unit is removed and replaced, the vehicle data should be read out (if possible) using PIWIS Tester II 9818.
- The Porsche System Tester instructions take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy these are the instructions that must be followed. Deviations may occur with later software versions.
