Installing ATF Thermostat

Information

The sealing rings at the ends of the ATF lines on the transmission and cooler sides must be replaced before installation.

Replace sealing rings on the ATF lines and coat with ATF.
Connect transmission-side ATF lines to thermostat. Insert the upper line first.
Insert ATF cooler lines.
Tighten fastening screw -1- securing ATF thermostat to cooler. → Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.)

Tighten fastening screw -2- securing ATF line to thermostat. → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Information
- Counter when fastening the ATF lines.
Screw in ATF line screws on cooler side -arrow- at the thermostat. → Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

Unscrew ATF inspection plug -2- and fill in ATF until a constant discharge is visible at the lifting tube.

Screw in ATF inspection plug -2- with new sealing ring. → Tightening torque: 70 Nm (52 ftlb.)
