Changing Oil For Rear Final Drive

  1. Place oil collecting container underneath the vehicle.
    WARNING: Hot fluid
    • Danger of scalding

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  2. Unscrew oil drain plug -B-  and drain the oil.

  3. Screw in oil drain plug -B-  with a new sealing ring. → Tightening torque: 35 Nm 
    WARNING: Hot fluid
    • Danger of scalding

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  4. Unscrew oil inspection plug -A-  .

    Information 

    • Vehicle must be horizontal in order to fill rear final drive. 
  5. Use the ATF filling device for filling transmission 161  to fill with oil up to the lower edge of the inspection plug opening -A-  . → Filling capacity: 1.25 litres Filling capacity: 1.4 litres 
  6. Screw in oil inspection plug -A-  with new sealing ring. → Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ft lbs.)

  7. Check oil for rear final drive. → Checking Oil For Four-Wheel Final Drive
