Checking Oil For Transfer Gear

→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

The oil level can only be checked after the vehicle has been idle for 45 minutes.

The engine must not be started during this time.

  1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -A-  .

  2. The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window.

    Information 

    Use only oil approved by Porsche.

  3. If this is not the case, top up the oil. → Filling Oil For Transfer Gear 
  4. Screw in oil inspection plug -A-  with new sealing ring. → Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ft lbs.)
