Visual Inspection Of Airbag Units

  1. Check that there are no trim elements, covers, stickers or similar items attached to the airbag units (e.g. driver's, passenger's, side, head airbag).
  2. Check that there are no seat covers, other covers, stickers or similar items, for example, obstructing the airbag units in the seat backrests.
  3. Visually inspect the airbag modules and airbag covers for mechanical damage and deformation, for example, which can prevent the airbag module from working properly when triggered.
  4. The result of the visual check on airbag units (systems) must be confirmed in the stamp spaces provided in the Guarantee and Maintenance booklet.
