Removing Coolant Temperature Sensor

  1. Pull off the cable plug on the temperature sensor. -10- 
  2. Pull off retaining clip. -12- 
  3. Pull out temperature sensor. -10- 
  4. Sealing ring must always be replaced. -11-

    1. Fastening screw → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft lbs.) 
    2. Connecting piece for reservoir
    3. Adapter
    4. Seal
    5. Coolant pipe
    6. Coolant pipe
    7. Fastening screw → Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ft lbs.) 
    8. Coolant pipe
    9. Sealing ring
    10. Coolant temperature sensor
    11. O-ring must always be replaced 
    12. Check that retaining clip is seated securely 
    13. Fastening screw → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft lbs.) 
    14. Retaining clip
    15. Coolant pipe
    16. Coolant pipe
    17. Coolant pipe
    18. Coolant pipe
    19. Cover on thermostat insert
    20. Fastening screw → Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ft lbs.) 
    21. Coolant regulator
    22. Coolant pipe
    23. Check spray-on seal on coolant pump 
    24. Fastening screw → Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ft lbs.) 
    25. Coolant pump pulley
    26. Fastening screw for coolant pump
