Installing Rear Spring Strut

WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).

Information 

  1. Insert spring strut into the vehicle.

  2. Fit the four fastening screws -arrows-  .

  3. Carefully raise the air spring strut using a suitable -illustration-  lift with rubber base. Then, pull the wheel carrier downwards in order to fit the fastening screw.

  4. Attach the fastening screw for the connecting link/spring strut -arrow-  to the wheel carrier.

  5. For vehicles with PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control), fit the protection cap on the valve block.
  6. Connect the CDC sensor plug connection to the lower part of the spring strut -(arrow)-. Insert cable into the holders.

  7. Fit stone guard for CDC sensor -arrow-  .

  8. Fit pressure pipe to residual-pressure retaining valve using insert part T10212 → WM 4300TW TIGHTENING TORQUES , then clip the pressure line into the retaining devices.

  9. Remove protective tube from drive shaft.
