Removing Rear Door Moulding

Information

The trim strip is damaged beyond repair during removal.

Heat up moulding with a hot-air gun to approx. 60°C.
Open front door.
Using an assembly wedge, traverse between moulding and cover and lift off the moulding.

Remove moulding completely, reheating if necessary.
To protect from damage, mask painted surfaces along the upper and lower edges with adhesive strip.

Warm up adhesive tape residue on the cover and scrape it off with an assembly wedge.
