Installing The Generator

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Porsche Cayenne, 2009 Porsche Cayenne, and 2008 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Attach supply and return hose -2-  to the generator -3-  .

    1. 1.1. Slide new spring band clamp -1-  onto the supply and return hose -2-  .

      Grease supply and return hose -2-  on the inside with Vaseline.

      Information 

      • Before installing the new generator, tap the threaded bushings -d- out by approx. 4 mm -Arrows-  .

    2. 1.2. Insert the generator -3-  from above.
    3. 1.3. Press spring band clamps -1-  together and slide supply and return hose -2-  onto the water hose adapters on the generator -3-  (-Arrow-  ).
  2. Loosen the hose clamps 3094  on the water hoses and remove them.
  3. Place the generator in installation position -Arrow-  and secure with the fastening screws -Arrows 3-  . → Tightening torque: 20 Nm

  4. Connect the B+ line -3-  to the generator -Arrow A-  and secure with the fastening nut -2-  . → Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)

  5. Press in connector -1-  (-Arrow B-  ) until it engages securely.
