Removing Rear Brake Disc

  1. Disconnect plug connection for brake pad wear indicator on wheel carrier.
  2. Remove screw plug -arrow-  . The adjustment device can be turned through this bore.

  3. Turn the brake disc in such a way that the adjustment device becomes visible. Insert a → see Fig 2 screwdriver through the bore and turn the adjustment device towards "release".

  4. Push brake pad back slightly and evenly with piston resetting fixture (replaces P83) Nr.144  . → see -direction arrow-  .

  5. Undo brake calliper on wheel carrier and hang it in a suitable place in the wheel well (do not open brake hydraulics!). But first pull out the electric lines from the holder on the brake calliper and the brake pad wear line from the holder on the wheel carrier.
  6. Remove brake disc after unscrewing the fastening screw. If necessary, remove the brake disc by tapping it gently with a rubber hammer.
