Installing Motor For Drive Mechanism

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well  .

Information 

Before installing the motors for the drive mechanism, always make sure that the emergency release screws on the motor support are not screwed in (convertible top emergency operation).

1. Install motor for drive mechanism -1-  .
   1. 1.1. Carefully press trim panel for rear wall aside until the motor support -2-  is accessible.
   2. 1.2. Pull motor support -2-  forward against the spring force.
   3. 1.3. Fit motor -1-  , guide motor support -2-  back -A-  and press the guide pin -3-  up into the guide -B-  at the same time.

2. Install retaining pin for motor for drive mechanism -2-  .
   1. 2.1. Pull motor for drive mechanism up at the rear.
   2. 2.2. Carefully push in the retaining pin -2-  .
   3. 2.3. Press retaining clip -1-  onto the retaining pin -2-  until the retaining clip -1-  engages securely.

3. Fit lower trim panel -2-  by turning it -A-  and slide it fully onto the guiding groove -3-  on motor for drive mechanism -1-  .

4. Connect electric plug connection -1-  until the connector engages securely.

   Secure the wire harness with a fixing clip -2-  .

5. Press on upper trim panel -1-  until the locking lugs -2-  engage securely.
