Removing Cover For 2/3-Split Folding Rear Backrest

1. Unclip the rear trim panel at the top -1-  from the seat backrest -2-  using a suitable tool.

2. Loosen Velcro fasteners -1, 2-  at the bottom of the backrest cover.

3. Carefully lever the seat-belt guide -1-  up out of the seat -2-  using a suitable tool -A-  and pull it forward -B-  .

4. Insert a suitable tool -1-  into the gap -2-  at the bottom of the backrest frame and carefully lever out the backrest cover piping -3-  over the entire length of the backrest.

5. Loosen the seat belt -1-  at the bottom.

   1. 5.1. Unscrew fastening screw -2-  on the seat belt.
   2. 5.2. Unclip the fixing clips -3-  for the seat belt on the seat frame -4-  .
6. Carefully slide the backrest cover -1-  forward over the covers -2-  on the headrest support.

7. Unscrew fastening screw -4-  on the side airbag -2-  .

8. Slide the side airbag holder -1-  up and take it out of the guide -2-  .
9. Loosen the fastenings securing the cover to the side airbag.

10. Release the existing electric plug connections -1, 2-  (-a, b-  ) and pull them off -A, B-  .

11. Unclip electric wire harness -1-  for the seat backrest at the brackets -2-  .

12. Pull out electric wire harness -1-  together with the guide -2-  on the inside of the seat frame and unclip it at the holder -3-  .

13. Remove backrest cover.
    1. 13.1. Fold the backrest cover -4-  outwards -arrows-  .

    2. 13.2. Cut the cushion clips -2-  in the specified sequence -1 - 3-  using a suitable tool, e.g. side cutters. → Cutting cushion clips

    3. 13.3. Remove the backrest cover from the padding mount.
    4. 13.4. Remove the remaining pieces of the cushion clips.
