Installing Cover For 2/3-Split Folding Rear Backrest

Fit the cover.
Always use cushion clip pliers Nr.130 -4- and new cushion clips -2- to fasten the cover. → Fitting cushion clips

1. 1.1. Place the seat cover -1- on the padding -A- and align it with the contour of the padding -B- .

2. 1.2. Fasten the seat cover -4- using cushion clip pliers Nr.130 and new cushion clips in the sequence shown -1 - 3- .

3. 1.3. Pull the outside of the seat cover to the rear -arrows- .
Secure the backrest cover -1- to the side airbag holder -2- at the front and rear.

Fit side airbag to the backrest frame.
1. 3.1. Guide the holder -1- for the side airbag -2- into the guide -3- .

2. 3.2. Screw in fastening screw -4- and tighten to → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) .
Clip in the electric wire harness -1- at the holder -3- on the inside of the seat frame and fit the guide -2- on the seat frame.

Plug in existing electric plug connections -1, 2- for the 2/3-split folding seat -A, B- and lock them -a, b- .

Clip in the wire harness -1- at the brackets -2- on the seat frame.

Carefully pull the backrest cover -1- over the covers -2- on the headrest guide.

Carefully fold the backrest cover -1- to the rear -arrows- and insert the piping -2- over the entire length into the guide -3- on the backrest frame → Seat piping .

Check that the piping -2- on the backrest cover -1- engages securely in the guide -5- .

Secure the seat belt -1- at the bottom.

1. 10.1. Screw in fastening screw -2- for the seat belt -1- and tighten to → Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.) .
2. 10.2. Clip in fixing clips -3- for the seat belt on the seat frame -4- .
3. 10.3. Check that the seat belt is routed correctly.
Insert the seat belt guide -1- into the padding -2- (-A- ) and clip it in in a downward direction -B- .

Pull the rear seat cover through in a downward direction and close the Velcro fasteners -1, 2- .

Clip the rear trim panel at the top -1- into the seat backrest -2- .
