Installing Cover For 1/3-Split Folding Rear Backrest

Fit the cover.
Always use cushion clip pliers Nr.130 -4- and new cushion clips -2- to fasten the cover. → Fitting cushion clips

1. 1.1. Place the cover -1- on the padding -A- and align with the contour of the padding -B- .

2. 1.2. Fasten the cover -4- using cushion clip pliers Nr.130 and new cushion clips in the sequence shown -1-3- .

Secure the backrest cover -1- to the side airbag holder -2- at the front and rear.

Fit side airbag to the backrest frame.
1. 3.1. Guide the holder -1- for the side airbag -2- into the guide -3- .

2. 3.2. Screw in fastening screw -4- and tighten to → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) .
Carefully pull the backrest cover -1- over the covers -2- on the headrest guide.

Connect existing electric plug connections.

1. 5.1. Plug in electric plug connection -1- for seat heating -A- and lock it -a- .
2. 5.2. Plug in electric plug connection -2- for seat heating connection point -B- and lock it -b- .
3. 5.3. Plug in electric plug connection -3- for side airbag -C- and lock it -c- .
4. 5.4. Clip the holder -4- for the electric plug connections onto the seat frame -5- .
Clip in the wire harness -1- at the holders -2- on the seat frame.

Carefully fold the backrest cover -1- to the rear -arrows- and insert the piping -2- over the entire length into the guide -3- on the backrest frame → Seat piping .

Check that the piping -2- on the backrest cover -1- engages securely in the guide -5- .

Pull the rear backrest cover -1- down -A- and close the Velcro fasteners -2, 3- .

Clip in the rear trim panel at the top -1- at the retaining clips -2- (-arrow- ).
