Removing Padding For 1/3-Split Folding Rear Seat

Information

Fastening grommets on the locking mechanism for the padding on the seat frame will be damaged irreparably during removal. Always replace the fastening grommets during installation.

Pierce the fastening grommets -1- on the underside of the seat frame -2- with a screwdriver so that the locking mechanism no longer locks.

Unclip the retaining eyelets -1- on the padding -2- with a strong upward jerk -arrows- to remove them from the fastening grommets -3- .

Disconnect electric plug connection for 1/3-split folding rear backrest.

1. 3.1. Release electric plug connection -1- for wire harness for seat heating -a- and pull it off -A- .
2. 3.2. Release electric plug connection -2- for seat heating connection point -b- and pull it off -B- .
3. 3.3. Release electric plug connection -3- on wire harness for side airbag -c- and pull it off -C- .
Remove the padding for the 1/3-split folding rear seat together with the wire harness.
