Removing Cover For Front Seat

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle .
Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well .

Unclip and remove plastic cover -1- on the seat frame.

On vehicles with heated seats: Disconnect connector for seat heating.

1. 2.1. Release electric plug connection for seat heating -1- (-a- ) and disconnect it -A- .
2. 2.2. Release electric plug connection for seat heating for seat-surface extension -2- (-b- ) and disconnect it -B- .
Press in expansion rivet pin -1- and pull out expansion rivet.

Detach the cover at the rear -2- (-A- ).
Unscrew fastening screws -3- and pull the bracket -4- down out of the catches -B- .

Disengage the cover at the sides -C- .

Disengage the cover at the front -D- .

Press in expansion rivet pin -5- and pull out expansion rivet.

Disengage the cover at the rear -F- .
Disengage the cover at the sides -G- .
Disengage the cover at the rear -H- .

Pull the cover forward between the padding for the seat and backrest -I- .

Unscrew screws -1- and remove electric motor for seat-surface extension.
Unscrew screws -2- and remove seat-surface extension from the seat frame.

Remove cover for seat together with the padding and seat-surface extension from the seat frame.
