  1. If the control unit for rear-end electronics has to be replaced, the values/coding must be read out prior to removal using PIWIS Tester II 9818  . → 578955 REPLACING CONTROL UNIT FOR REAR-END ELECTRONICS .
  2. Remove side trim panel for rear luggage compartment at the right. → REMOVING SIDE TRIM PANEL FOR REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT
