  1. If the control unit will be replaced, the old control unit must first be read out using PIWIS Tester II 9818  . → 556855 REPLACING CONTROL UNIT FOR REAR LID .
  2. Remove lower part of rear trim panel. → REMOVING TRIM PANEL FOR TAILGATE
