Removing Front Door Sub-Frame

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.
Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well.

Open vehicle door.
Detach rubber cover.
1. 2.1. Press unlocking lug -arrow A- .
2. 2.2. Pull back rubber cover -1- on the wiring harness.

Disconnect electric plug connection -1- between the body and door.
1. 3.1. Turn retaining bar -2- down by 90° -arrow A- .
2. 3.2. Disconnect electric plug connection -1- .

Push wiring harness with electric connector through the opening into the vehicle door.
Release electric plug connection for rear-view mirror -a- and disconnect it -A- .

Guide rubber sleeve on the wire harness for rear-view mirror out of the door sub-frame. -arrow- .

Loosen door window glass.
1. 7.1. Remove stopper -3- .

  Loosen left-thread fastening screws by turning them clockwise.
2. 7.2. Loosen fastening screws -4- for mounting pieces.

3. 7.3. Pull door window out of the mounting pieces and fix in place in the upper position using adhesive tape.

Remove front door sub-frame.
1. 8.1. Remove fabric tape -5- from the holes.

2. 8.2. Unscrew fastening screw -1- on inner part of door handle.

3. 8.3. Unscrew fastening screws -2- used to secure the door to the door lock.

4. 8.4. Unscrew and remove fastening screws -7- for the window lifter.
5. 8.5. Unscrew and remove twelve fastening screws from the door sub-frame -8- to the vehicle door.
6. 8.6. Pull the door sub-frame down a little.
7. 8.7. Unhook inner part of door handle.

8. 8.8. Pull A-pillar wiring harness through the opening into the vehicle door.
9. 8.9. Remove door sub-frame by guiding out the door lock with mounting bracket -arrow A- .
