Removing Door Lock

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Disconnect electric plug connections from the door lock.

2. Unclip mounting bracket from the door lock.
3. Disengage bowden cable in the door lock from the door lock to the inner part of the door handle.
   1. 3.1. Release bowden cable bracket -3-  (-a-  ) and unclip it -A-  .
   2. 3.2. Turn bowden cable bracket 90° -B-  and disengage the catch -4-  .

4. Disengage bowden cable for inner actuating mechanism on the door lock. → Removing Inner Actuating Mechanism For Door Lock 
5. Disengage bowden cable for closing aid on the door lock.
   1. 5.1. Unclip bowden cable bracket -1-  from the door lock.
   2. 5.2. Pull on the bowden cable until the catch -2-  is accessible.
   3. 5.3. Guide the catch -2-  out of the door lock.
