→ Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least → Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.

For trouble-free operation, Lane Change Assist must be calibrated after the following work is carried out on the vehicle:
- When one or both Lane Change Assist control units are replaced .
- When the installation position of one or both Lane Change Assist control units is changed .
- When body repairs are carried out on the rear of the vehicle .
- When the rear bumper is removed or moved out of position .
- Connect the Porsche System Tester to the vehicle and start the System Tester. Switch on ignition and press [F12] to continue.
- Select the vehicle type and start the Tester.
- Select the Lane Change Assist control unit in the overview .
- Maintenance/repairs must then be selected.
- Control unit replacement must now be selected. Then press [F12] to continue.
- Read data must be selected. Then press [F12] to continue.
- Press [F8] to start reading out data.
- Check the chassis number and press [F12] to continue.
- Switch off ignition and replace control unit. → 917019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR LANE CHANGE ASSIST .
- Switch on ignition. Select the Write data menu (procedure described above), press [F12] to continue and then press [F8] to start installing the data that was read out.
- The System Tester displays the message Data has been written . Press [F12] to continue.
- Read out the fault memory and erase it if necessary.
