Information 

The calibration process sends out radar beams, which the Doppler generator reflects. This simulates a vehicle.

A certain number of radar beams are expected in a defined time due to the defined position of the Doppler generator.

Deviations indicate that the control units are not at the correct installation position.

These deviations are displayed on the Porsche System Tester.

The following conditions must be observed in order to perform calibration: 

Workshop conditions 

  1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and set up the calibration unit VAS 6350 WE 1368  behind the vehicle.

    MP 1 to 4  - Measuring points

    X1  - Distance from calibration board to right reflector

    X2  - Distance from calibration board to left reflector

    - Height of camera from floor

    - Calibration board height

  2. Fit wheel center mountings and reflectors on the vehicle. The reflectors must be hanging freely.

  3. Align the work surface with the center of the vehicle and adjust the line laser to suit the calibration board.
