Removing Control Unit For Lane Change Assist

For trouble-free operation, Lane Change Assist must be calibrated after the following work is carried out on the vehicle:

When one or both Lane Change Assist control units are replaced .
When the installation position of one or both Lane Change Assist control units is changed .
When body repairs are carried out on the rear of the vehicle .
When the rear bumper is removed or moved out of position .

Information

Lane Change Assist has two control units:

The master control unit on the left and
the slave control unit on the right .

Switch off ignition and remove remote control (hand-held transmitter).
Unscrew the three fastening screws -1- .

Open the retaining clips for the electric connector -a- and disconnect connector -A- from the control unit.
