Installing Backrest Frame

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2018 Porsche Cayenne, 2017 Porsche Cayenne, 2016 Porsche Cayenne, 2015 Porsche Cayenne, and 2014 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

A second mechanic is required:

First mechanic: Fit backrest frame.
1. 1.1. Fit backrest frame on seat frame.
2. 1.2. Pull electric line through between the seat frame and seat padding.
Second mechanic: Tighten two fastening screws -1- for the backrest frame on both sides to Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.) +/-3 Nm (+/-2 ftlb.) .

Engage the bracket -6- from below -arrow J- .

Tighten fastening screws -5- to Tightening torque 7.5 Nm (5.5 ftlb.) +/-0.5 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.) .
Fit fixing clip -7- .

Engage rear side cover -8- on the seat frame -arrow K- .
Fit two electric plug connections at the underside of the seat.
