Installing Outer Side Member: Notes

Apply adhesive and body sealant.

1. 1.1. Evenly apply adhesive to the marked areas.
  Working with body structural adhesive → 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE
2. 1.2. Apply support adhesive to a height of 15 mm all around the sealing elements in the areas -A und C- .
  Apply support adhesive in the area -B- with two 15 mm high adhesive beads on the B-pillar and opposite on the side member.

Fit and secure outer side member.
Observe gap dimensions. → 5X00IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS
Weld in outer side member.

1. 3.1. Resistance spot-weld outer side member.
2. 3.2. Apply a full weld to outer side member using inert gas.
