Installing Inner B-Pillar Reinforcement

Fit and secure inner B-pillar reinforcement.
Resistance spot-weld inner B-pillar reinforcement.

Apply a full weld to inner B-pillar reinforcement using inert gas.

Information

When welding the inner B-pillar reinforcement at the roof cross member, make sure that the heat does not damage the outer roof panel.
- Perform a welding sample before applying a full weld and set the correct parameters (wire feed, welding level/welding current).
- Cool the outer roof panel using a moist cloth and if necessary insert a copper plate between the roof and roof cross member.
Weld in inner B-pillar reinforcement.
