Preparing B-Pillar For Installation

Fit the B-pillar.

1. 1.1. Cut B-pillar at the transition to the outer side member and top side section leaving an overlap of 20 mm.
2. 1.2. Fit the B-pillar.

3. 1.3. Make cuts through the outer side member and top side section in the overlap areas.
Remove B-pillar.
Drill holes for plug welding using inert gas.
→ Distance to upper edge: 10 mm

Grind both sides of connecting flanges of B-pillar in the marked areas until bare.
