Removing Rear Side Member

- Remove boot floor plate. → 532455 REPLACING REAR TRUNK FLOOR PANEL - section on "Removing"
- Remove D-pillar reinforcement (section). → 533055 REPLACING REINFORCEMENT FOR D-PILLAR (SECTION) - chapter on "Removing"
- Remove (inner) rear wheel housing. → 536855 REPLACING (INNER) REAR WHEEL HOUSING - section on "Removing"
- Separate rear floor section.
- 4.1. Drill out spotwelds using Spotweld Drill .
- 4.2. Make rough cut using the body saw.
- 4.3. Remove rear floor section.
- Remove rear wheel housing reinforcement.

- 5.1. Drill out spotwelds.
- 5.2. Grind down MIG seams.
- Loosen welded joints.
- 6.1. Grind down spotwelds.
- 6.2. Grind down MIG seam.

- Drill out spotwelds.

- 14.1. Mark cut. → Distance: 260 mm → Distance: 385 mm → Distance: 245 mm
- 14.2. Make cut using the body saw.
- 14.3. Drill out spotwelds.
- 14.4. Grind down MIG seams.
- 14.5. Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.
- 14.6. Remove center floor section.
- Grind down MIG seams.
- Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.
- Remove rear side member.
