Removing D-Pillar Reinforcement (Section)

- Remove rear side section. → 535555 REPLACING REAR SIDE SECTION - section on "Removing"
- Remove closing panel. → 530555 REPLACING REAR CLOSING PANEL - section on "Removing"
- Loosen welded joints.
- 3.1. Drill out spotwelds using Spotweld Drill .
- 3.2. Grind down MIG seams.
- Remove D-pillar gusset plate.

Drill out spotwelds A and B through two plate thicknesses.
- Drill out spotwelds.
- Grind down MIG seams.
- Grind down MIG seams.
- Drill out and grind down spotwelds.
- Loosen welded joints.
- 9.1. Drill out spotwelds.
- 9.2. Grind down MIG seams.
- Drill out spotwelds.
- Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.
- Remove D-pillar reinforcement.
