Removing Lock Carrier

Information 

  1. Lock carrier
  2. D-pillar gusset plate, right
  3. D-pillar gusset plate, left
  1. Remove end plate. → REMOVING CLOSING PANEL

  2. Cut off D-pillar gusset plates.
    1. 2.1. Mill off welded joints on the D-pillar gusset plates using the spotweld cutter (areas -A-  ).

    2. 2.2. Grind off MIG seams on the D-pillar gusset plates using a parting grinder (areas -B-  ).
  3. Remove D-pillar gusset plates.

  4. Cut off outer lock carrier.
    1. 4.1. Mill off welded joints on the lock carrier using the spotweld cutter (areas -C-  ).

    2. 4.2. Grind off MIG seams on the lock carrier using a parting grinder (area -D-  ).
    3. 4.3. Mill off welded joints on the lock carrier using the spotweld cutter (area -E-  ).

    4. 4.4. Mill off welded joints on the lock carrier using the spotweld cutter (areas -F-  ).

    5. 4.5. Grind off MIG seams on the lock carrier using a parting grinder (area -G-  ).

  5. Cut off inner lock carrier.
    1. 5.1. Grind off MIG seams on the lock carrier using a parting grinder (area -H-  ).

    2. 5.2. Mill off welded joints on the lock carrier using the spotweld cutter (area -I-  ).
    3. 5.3. Grind off MIG seams on the lock carrier using a parting grinder (area -J-  ).

    4. 5.4. Mill off welded joints on the lock carrier using the spotweld cutter (area -K-  ).
  6. Remove lock carrier.
