Observe specified tightening torques:
Rear axle to body, front: Tightening torque 120 Nm (89 ftlb.) +180 angular degrees
Rear axle to body, rear: Tightening torque 120 Nm (89 ftlb.) +180 angular degrees
Centre bearing (cardan shaft) to body (initial tightening): Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
Centre bearing (cardan shaft) to body (final tightening): Final tightening +90°
Rear spring strut to wheel bearing housing: Tightening torque 90 Nm (67 ftlb.) +90 angular degrees
- Position rear axle housing back in its original, marked installation position and tighten it.
- Replace circlip -arrow- at the input flange of the rear final drive.
- Position the cardan shaft at the marking on the rear final drive.
- For vehicles with PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control - anti-roll stabilization):
On vehicles with PDCC, the lines (pressure line, return line) at the PDCC valve block must be fitted from rear axle to front axle.
Pressure lines to PDCC valve block: Tightening torque 28 Nm (21 ftlb.)
